YET 2011 ...

This year, we went to Kotagiri to the Sunshine Bungalow for the Year End Trip. It was the best YET so far and the kids totally loved it.  The trip burned a big hole in our pockets, but it was worth every single paisa

Not much other than that, here is the slideshow of few photos:

Maddy with Kovai Sarala

Yesterday was the luckiest day for the last standing bachelor guy of our batch. Soon he would be sending out the details including the name of the gal. Meanwhile here is photo of the pair:

Maddy

Note 1: Don't think Jaiku is still a bachelor. Sometime back, he said that he already got married to someone called Work. Exactly opposite to Maddy, except the name he didn't give any other info.

Note 2 (esp. to Kovai Sarala): I wish your fiancee had told your name. Since he didn't, I've taken the name from the comment that he gave for this photo.

Let me tell you a story ...

As usual this year's YearEndTrip was a nice get-together. The total head count started off with around 20, then moved to 17 and then it was 12. Finally only 10 people made it. Yup, little less crowd, but there was lots and lots of fun. Let me tell you the story of Meghamalai in pictures :-)

It took 5 hrs for 300 kms. But the last 40 kms took 4 hrs. Can't really go above 20 kms/hr. This is Sudhir driving crawling his car.

Well the roads are bad. But the surroundings were quite scenic:

Most of the time, we were traveling along the banks of a dam and you can shoot a load of post card pictures. Here is one by Ravi:

The bungalow we booked is located at one end of the dam:

Nice view isn't it? Finally we arrive to the "Cloud Mountain Bungalow":

It was almost evening when we got there. We had a "lunch" and then sat down for a small "talk" session:

Which turned out to be fun:

more fun:

and even more fun:

or should I simply say hell lot of fun?

yes, all of us enjoyed the conversations:

Despite all that, people who are quite in nature, were indeed quite  ;-)

Dec 6th is Sahana's birthday:

So, celebrations:

While everybody was busy in tasting the cake, one was very busy in continuing to blow off all other candles:

After dinner, we had entertainment. Don't get bored/scared. Its not the same usual 4 step dance by Thanigai:

It had nice stories

rhymes

songs

and dance

The next morning, we all went out for a nice walk:

where someone met with his old friend:

who ran off seeing him:

Did Thanigai learn a new dance step?

Nope. He still knows only those 4 steps and it was him participating in a "stone throwing competition". Here are the others:

Expert advice on how to be on stage and pose for a photo:

and the result:

Enough of the trip, back to the main event. Anjac's wedding:

The story ends here. Hope next Year-End-Trip will see a lot more participation and much more fun.

Who is next?

With just over a week away for Guru's Marriage, the next obvious question would be who is in queue to fall into the marriage trap. The most favourite was Mr. Sels. But today, the SMS surprised me.

Guess who!!! Not many to choose, but you have the clue here... :)
